Milk hauling, grain hauling, silage/manure hauling, it's nothing to get rich off of. I feel ag money is definitely more limited than say, "oil money" down in the southeastern parts of NM and West TX. Apart from the typical paychecks boasted by drivers in the oil fields, it also shows in the quality of the local infrastructure and even something as simple as the Stripes convenience stores down there.
I've thought about city living/moves myself for the past few years. But the high costs, high rise apartments(as opposed to garden apartments) and possibly having to befriend a bunch of tech bros if I don't want to be a loner up in, say the Denver metro, had me whigging out of every possible job offer due to cold feet. -
Cattle! Haul for JBS the only time you'll see city is when you are unloading and that is the outskirts.

One day he was changing oil on the astro with cab jacked up and the side box door open exposing the hot shot .
About 20 ft away my sis was tanning in a lounger next to the house with a towel over her eyes .
I gave her a little tune up with the prod .
I wasnt to popular around the house for a while after that . -
Showed up after a delaware delivery to a chicken plant.
Went home later that day for dinner.
OUT! OUT! OUT! O U T ! ! !.
sheesh.
