I amazes me that noone has even hinted at hanging iron. Am I missing something? I am just asking, but is there a mashoistic attitude strong in this industry that hanging iron is for ...... well.....I'm trying to bite my toungue and censor myself, but I think you can get what I'm asking.

i personally dont have any iron, and i try my best to stay in the south, so when i hit the ice i was caught completely off guard and tried my best to not end up in a ditch, but i did see a number of drivers puttin along with no chains on, but they had them hanging on their trucks and trailers.

Spent 12 hours on I20 we went about 39 miles in that time, The state patrol really sucks there, they had no plan to deal with this. After sitting for 4 and half hours , most of us went to bed in our sleepers. Only to be woken up an hour and a half later, to move another 6 miles before we sat again. Really messed up my hours. I am now in Missippi.

Been here about 2 and half hours. Not moving at all. Cars and trucks cannot get up the hill about 30 miles east of Dallas. Almost a carnival. People are giving out and sharing food, water, cigarettes. [IMG]

I've actually had some wonderful experiences in these situations over the years--met some great people and witnessed some incredible acts of human kindness and compassion--Gotta find that silver lining!
Although none compared to the old day's in the Keys when drawbridge on 7mile bridge would break(happened alot)some of the best impromto parties i have ever had the good fortune to be a part of! LMAO
    Just my $.02

It's just that time of year. Dallas has had it rough to the past few days. I don't know how the "Superbowl" is going to play out with all that bad weather and traffic. Definitely going to be a mess!
