Stupid incompetant people

It is called constructive criticism, take it with a grain of salt, the other driver was just doing his job, protecting you and everyone else around you. Don't be offended by it. Hauling coils is very tricky, if you don't know how to secure them. I would say 5 chains was plenty, but maybe the other guy was just concerned. Drive safe

I agree that 5 chains where NOT enough, they showed you, just like everyone else, how to tie down coils and how many chains to use in orientation just like they did everybody else. But if you want to be one of the Arrow drivers that lose loads every week, then only put 5 chains on the coil. Maybe the stupid, incompatant person here isn't Arrow. We drive for Arrow, and they are outstanding. Maybe you would be better off pulling a van....Sorry, but you sound like all these other whiny drivers we hear EVERY DAY on the CB....Best of luck with someone else, since you think the grass is greener on the other side, it sn't, and you'll find that out that it isn't for yourself

 

You did not say what kind of punishment that they did to you
as a result. If all they did was critisize you I think you are
being overly defensive. Some Van companies write you
up if you get complaints from 4 wheelers on how you drive.
You don't even get to know where it came from so if you
have an angry ex wife I guess your in bad shape.
If all they did was ask how you secured the load,
it sounds like a good company to me.

 

Yea Arrow has an outstanding rating - just check the government rating - 97.4. 100 being the worst!

And who's fault is that?? Not Arrow's fault for sure...if Arrow would stop hiring incompantant students and start hiring more people like my hubby, the safty rating would be great....28 years, no accidents, no load claims, always on time, and respects other drivers...But they hire students and incompatant people who don't know thier 5th wheel from the nose of their tractor. Scott can go anywhere he wants, so if Arrow does him wrong, it's no big deal, he would rather pull heavy haul like he used to anyway.......

 

When I haul a coil I use more than the minimum rec. How long does it take the toss an extra chain or 2. I over did it with suicide coils lots of chains and a strap or 2(easier to tarp not Securement purposes), and I hauled the Gorge on I40 with them

 

Arrow's safety rating is one thing, and the printed materials they give all drivers on load securing is another. They do "preach" on securing loads, but don't take it to heart. Misunderstandings happen all the time. DM's at Tulsa have a lot on their plate. Some are good people, some are friggin ##########, but hey, that's with every company.

quit whining.....arrow may indeed have a bad rating....but i can honestly say they do have a great training class which some probably fell asleep in. You want something to whine about...try lease purchase with them....you get to make your payments drive all sorts of miles and make no money for your family at home..., then finally call it quits after 9 months have # $10,000 in escrow just to have them deduct it all then send you a check and a christmas card for $10...plz don't whine....overall arrow ain't all that bad.
