These were taken from the front porch of our home, in central California! It is Monsoon season again.. Lightening storms are common.. but we hadn't seen a good one in ages! We woke up to a crack of thunder that sounded for all the wolrd like someone dropped a train car on the house!
I wish more had turned out... The first is a view looking east from the house, the second pic is of looking UP from the front porch and is the glow off a piece of lightening that struck somewhere on the other side of the house... I thought it was neat!

As soon as I figure out how to move them from the other camera, I will post them for you too! Melva stayed out there for over an hour after I went back bed, and she got some really good pictures...
It is now 10;30 am and the thunder is STILL ROLLING!! This almost NEVER happens! I am loving it!
And it is STILL supposed to hit 106!

Wow, those pics look like they are from a movie, LOL. They are a bit blurry or something, but still really cool! Thanks!

Thank you folks! I'm having a bit of a problem with the "blur" factor! I'm trying to make "stills" from video! It's kind of a challenge...
I have one more to post... Melva took it the same night the others were taken. I'm just having a bit more challenge getting ALL of the strike in the shot! I'm hoping I can get it right, because it was one HUGE piece of lightening!

Cool pics. I always find it amazing when one is able to get a picture of a lightning bolt. Their usually gone at the blink of an eye. Good job.
