Picked up our load at Shell this morning, everything went smooth & we hit the road headed north towards Kentucky. Made it to Tuscaloosa & posted up at a hotel. Weather was good & traffic was light We’ve got a little over 500 miles to go & scheduled to deliver Friday so we’re in really good shape. Keep on truckin’

Might be able to squeek out 2 layovers on that one. Sit 24 hours at the hotel pick up $200. Haul ### to the plant and go on the clock after 14 hours.

That’s a definite possibility, we’re gonna arrive a day early so that one is easy, we’ll see what Cincinnati has for us

Trucked from Tuscaloosa up to the Kentucky Speedway yesterday, smooth drive all the way, much cooler and drier up here too Will call this morning & see if we can deliver this load a day early so we can get on down the road to the next load.

How many miles / week are you seeing so far? Are you considered regional or otr? If you can't deliver a day early today will you just have another paid hotel day?

We’re probably doing somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500-2000 miles a week. I’ve done a mix of local and OTR but it’s mostly been Louisiana up to Virginia Kentucky areas with some Georgia and Tennessee mixed in. We had a load to California but it was placarded so had to turn it down- I didn’t have my CDL with X endorsement yet. It finally arrived after more than a month of waiting & I had my wife overnight it to the terminal. Hopefully, we can deliver this load today so we can get back on the road. I prefer to be trucking so I can keep learning. It’s great to get paid for relaxing in a hotel but I don’t learn much. We’ll see what Cincinnati has for us- hopefully a long trip somewhere

We were able to deliver our load a day early & finished up this afternoon. The road getting into this plant was quite an adventure, very narrow and winding road through the hills just across the river from Cincinnati. Headed to the terminal in Cinci, dropped the trailer, picked up another trailer and headed north to overnight in Wapakoneta, Ohio. We will load in the morning in Lima, OH and head over to Reading, PA to deliver Monday so definitely gonna have some layover time.

Did an overnight in Washington, PA last night & finished up the last couple hundred miles or so today so now chillin' in a hotel in Wyomissing, PA waiting to deliver our load in Reading, PA Monday morning. Beautiful drive through the hills & tunnels of Pennsylvania but some really slow speed limits at times on I-70. Traffic was light and weather was really nice. I'm clearing right around $1200 net per week in hourly mode for training. I should be able to do that or better once I'm out on my own. We pretty much take it easy, my trainer doesn't like to do long drives every day unless we have to. I'll run much longer when it's just me. That's what I say now anyway lol!
