You will get some good answers/suggestions by asking that question here on the Forum -- but I suggest you also ask (if you haven't already) that same qtn to whomever is your main contact at Windy Hill.
BTW: Congratulations! Your spouse will get 4 WEEKS of coaching with an OTR trainer.
With my first carrier -- I only got 4 1/2 days....

Clothes:
Whatever can fit into a single duffle bag. Space is very limited and nothing will get you off on the wrong foot faster than showing up with half your house. In fact, if you do, you’ll likely be leaving most of it at the terminal. You can do laundry while you’re out. Of course, pack soap, toothbrush (I recommend Oral B soft), floss (Glide non wax is the best), deodorant, etc…
Money:
Make sure have enough cash to last you. I HIGHLY recommend you use a credit card as much as you can. Just make sure you track your expenses so you can make sure you have the money to pay the card bill off when it comes due.
Phone: Don’t forget your phone. Yes, I’ve seen it happen.
That’s really all the basics. Anything else should be well thought out and approved. Again, space is very limited.
That’s about all you really need.Another Canadian driver, JolliRoger, Magoo1968 and 2 others Thank this. -
Pack everything in a flexible duffle bag, not a hard suitcase. A hard suitcase won't work in a truck sleeper/bunk compartment. There will be two people in the truck, your husband and the trainer so storage space is limited.

This may seem trivial, but some of us use our shampoo, not only for the hair, but for the entire body while showering. Been doing that for years and even at home. This saves a little space and one less item to juggle with when stopping for a shower. Shampoo makes good shaving cream also.

Just the essentials. Body wash, deodorant, meds if he takes any. Extra pair of glasses or contacts. If he wears them. Maybe a good pillow, that will be hard to get at a truckstop.

You should have access to a Walmart or grocery store at least once a week. Some are even next to truck stops.
Many truck stops have microwaves that you can heat a frozen dinner.Another Canadian driver, hope not dumb twucker, nextgentrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
