You can always set your main screen\preferences\device\warnings&alert prompts to off.
Logs can be turned to main screen\preference\truck\update driver status\main menu buttons - then on main screen set to off duty and in the truck info\timers and logs reset all timers to 11/14/70.
POI's global POI's, and construction come out about bi-weekly... for those that are calendar challenged,,, that is every two weeks.
Thanks,
Mark -
This support thread is full of, how should I say....not stupid, but, silly questions.
Majority of the questions have a simple answer...In main screen, tap on preferences, then device, scroll down to tutorial and tips, and finally, view tutorial and tips....
If that doesn't help, just play with it...you can't screw up anything, just take your ballpoint pen, press the reset button at the back, hold it for 10 seconds, and you are ready to go again...
So far, I had every truck specific GPS that is on the market now. Even some that never made it to retail. Rand McNally is on par, and, probably better then any of them you can buy...and it will grow and get better, just give it time.
I had Garmin, ALK CoPilot, Goodyear. All of them "truckers" GPS. I also have Rand McNally 5" and 7" units in my truck. All of them are good, but, in the same time, all of them are bad...They are just tools which we have to help us do our jobs.
So far, Rand is the best of them all. Why? It's simple...not because of some features, not graphics, not maps....It is the best, because Rand is the only REAL trucking GPS company out there...
Garmin has made more than 100 million, and, that's 100 MILLION, GPS units so far...Garmin sold less than 50.000 465's
ALK has sold more GPS iPhone apps for cars in a first month, than all of their truck GPS's combined since they hit the market
Goodyear, well, they are big in Europe, and their journey to North America didn't pay off.
TomTom had some ideas about truck GPS, but they left it alone, even after they bought Navteq truck specific maps.
Cobra, I have never tried...
You may ask what does this mean?
Garmin has 0.05% sales from their truck GPS, compared to all the units sold...Do you really think that they want to spend a bunch of money improving T465???
ALK has way more iPhone and Android apps sold in app stores than all of truck GPS units...They always have $5000 PC Miler software and their car GPS apps to fall back on...
Rand McNally has no interest in car market. 100% of the units that Rand sold, are real truck GPS. It is make it, or break it for them. Lot of money invested, and nothing to fall back on, like other companies. Even the upcoming iPad app is 100% truck friendly. Rand has no choice, but to continue improving and upgrading their product. They have a lot of money invested in this product, and they just have to keep on going.
Also, Rand support is superior to any product and company out there. Thanks to a single person here... A man on this forum will often go out of his way to accommodate us and help any Rand user out there...How many of us received a one on one phone support, new SD flash card in the mail, or a new unit for the broken one? How many of got support like that from other companies, not only GPS? Me, not too often...
Well, I should go and get a beer, and finish with my rant...
All of you out there, have a safe trip, and god bless you...
Cheers,

I was an Alpha and Beta tester for MMO's for a long time. I can mess with files with the best of them, if I know the proper path.
It is slightly different on Win 7 than XP though. So I was confused here and there.Mark Kling Thanks this. -
