Suspension Air smells like DEF

2018 international LT
Cummins x15 engine.
When suspension was dumped, there was an obnoxious smell, like someone took a shower in def!
Understand.... this was a rank smell of ammonia (so strong it was overpowering), but centered around the rear suspension. I was suspecting to find my def leaking, but there was nothing on the ground.
I am clueless... Any help would be great!
