See, if they would just build a 20-30 foot wall along the interstate the wind would have to go up and over the wall instead of sweeping directly across the roadway like that.

So what's up with Swift? Do they actively seek out incompetent drivers, I don't see how with all the revenue they're losing with these wrecks how they keep operating.

When I was learning to drive in 2007, there was a recruiter that came by our school to tell us how they judged their drivers. He said they would have you drive 5 miles. Based purely on how much you picked up in school or how well you handled the truck in 5 miles would decide whether you needed a trainer or if they were to cut you loose.

The $$$ they loose ain't nothing to wht they make. The government gives the 5k per warm behind they give a CDL. They also do lease purchases. They have low shipping rates. So they have an abundance of freight.

Richard Stocking and company have things figured out. They not going in the red trust me

Are the numbers really that bad?

5% of their drivers are in a crash each year. The stats show that the majority of those are not the fault of the truck driver.

So to be better than Swift you have to go 20 years without being in a crash where there is a tow required, an injury or a fatality.

I'm almost half way to being able to say I'm better than that. I know some who can make that claim and many who can't.

Not defending Swift, just trying to give some perspective to the numbers.
