I pulled flatbed for swift for 2 years, liked the job a lot, any specific questions i'd be happy to answer. I see you're in florida though, and they didn't hire for flatbed out of FL when I worked for them. In fact in my entire career with swift I only went to florida once (Miami) and they dead head me all the way to SC (700 miles) for my next load.

You can always double check but as of November when I quit they were not hiring out of FL.

You could also take a look at Jordan Carriers I saw them a lot in the southeast and they all seemed to be happy with the company.

    FireFighter_02 Thanks this.

Florida is not a good state for flatbedding... in two flatbed OTR jobs (the first being with Swift), I'd only been to Florida twice.... the first was in 02, and I don't remember what I took to Florida, but I remember I deadheaded out of there... second time was in 2011, running for a small fleet owner leased to CRST Malone, and those were signs from Daktronics going to a church in Clearwater (not the Scientology cult). I also deadhead out of Florida after that one.
IF they'll hire you out of Florida, you'd be dispatched out of Greer (SC). Running out of there, you can expect a lot of stepdeck loads... chassis out of Freghtliner Custom Chassis for RVs, utility vans, school buses, etc. Lot of it went to Indiana, and I frequently rotated to Indiana then back to SC with steel coil stock... there were also Blue Bird bus chassis out of Fort Valley, GA going to Brantford, ON... you could get stuck there shuttling chassis from the New Boston, MI yard to Brantford after they'd end up being t-called by drivers who couldn't go into Canada.
They generally tried to keep you between the east coast and midwest so they could have you run the aforementioned circuit, although runs to point west did happen, still.
Disclaimer: this was 02 - 03 I'm talking about, and a lot may have changed since.

Only thing that changed is the blue bird stuff is gone, everything else is same old same old for east coast drivers. Phoenix drivers spend a lot of time on i5.
