Im looking for info on Swift intermodal or dedicated accounts out of Phoenix.. im not a current swift Driver. im looking to see if i can land a job to where i can have the weekends off and be home every other day.. ive been driving for four years now and have all my endorsements. My questions are: 1) Do i have to work my way up from Swift, or can i just apply for the Intermodal/Dedicated account positon 2) What is the Salary like for these positions 3) Is a driver able to be home every other day and have weekends off on the Intermodal or Dedicated side? Any info would be great.. im looking to move down this summer.. I Currently live in Wyoming, and to be honest.. i miss Phoenix real bad lol..
I'm not sure about Phoenix but I know a few slip seaters out of another terminal that make $14 a hour and work 60 to 70hrs a week out of a terminal in KS pay might be better down there and your home everyday they run to swap loads with other drivers from other terminals and run local loads. as for dedicated or intermodal not sure if Phoenix has anything there another drivers here may know but you can get with a recruiter and go straight to these postitions when hired on. Most dedicated is out 2 weeks before Hometime from what I hear. if you got exp I would say try to find a local company sure you can find better pay and home everyday with 4 years exp and Phoenix should have plenty of local jobs Swift doesn't pay much when u run local good luck to ya
I know swift has Walmart grocery dedicated in casa grande,Az...but not familiar with how they select drivers for dedicated positions.
Ok..thnks for updated info...I ran Walmart dedicated last year out of new Caney and seen some Walmart reefers from there with casa grande and swifts name on there.. england must have under cut them.
heck...if you had zero years experience, why would you consider running for swift? they still pay hhg miles? any fbi raids at any of their facilities lately? how much time do they steal from each driver every day?
