Maybe you should look at Knight Trans. They haul the crap out of ikea in Lebec Ca and they have that big terminal in Tulare on the 99.

You might want to take a look at local companies as well. Knights divison would be their Squire divison. Also, check out Watkins Shepard. They might have a terminal near you. Finally, check out all companies related to System transport.

All of those are good to look into, but most importantly, what do you want in a company? Now, which companies meet those needs?

like any person i would like to be with a company that i can spend the rest of my days working for and happy. this however is not likely right of the gate. im 37, my mom (god rest her soul) drove truck till i was seven and i only saw her on my bday. she drove for JB Hunt at that time. before she passed she told how she wished she had been there them years. i have no regrets, she did what she had to to put food on the table. now i am in the same spot. my son is 19 now so no worries, but i do have a wife and beatiful home and toys. work here is gone in my field, they say im now over qualified and pay someone half of what i used to make that should not even be working in my field. i am not looking to be rich or have faint thoughts that just coming out of a trucking school ill make a great deal of money like alot of my class mates thought about. just want to beable to pay the bills and be home reasonably and not stuck with a company that can only send me home for my home time in a bus all the way from NY. i know there will be these times. however, i do not want to waste money to be made in a bus to just turn around after just a day with the wife to be back on the bus to catch my next load. long story....lol. just looking for a good fit with a small happy meduim. i know the life of a trucker. been surronded by them my whole in my family. bills are due and the needs new shoes...lol

Yeah. Bus trips for hometime wont happen. you'll just be stuck out. Best to get a job with a terminal nearby. That way you an always dump your load at the terminal and go home.
