Without knowing your particulars, all I can do is tell you how the system works. I can lay out each of the area's that could have lead to being turned down.

1. Ex driver reapplies with Swift. A form is generated that is sent to the terminal manager to either approve or deny you for rehire. I get these forms almost daily. What I do is review the drivers file, did they run good, any problems notated about the driver...excessive hometime, violence or improper language etc.. Each TM is different on their rehire criteria. If everything is over a year old, and they show that they have been working since leaving swift driving a truck, then I generally approve them. If there is a bunch of history, and they have been gone a short time, I deny their rehire. Usually a recruiter will then submit you to a different TM to see if another one will accept you. Since I believe in second chances and am more lenient on my criteria, I tend to see more drivers from other states being sent across to me.

2. Once Approved from Operations it goes to Safety. Safety pulls your dac, your record with Swift when you were there for accidents, citations, log violations, negative road reports and they will say yes or no. I do not fnid out the reason if they say no, but if you have been gone less then one year and you had multiple accidents, citations, log violations, then safety will probably deny your rehire. If something from your previous employer comes up that is serious enough, then that can lead to denial also.

3. Once safety approves then security looks at you. Your criminal background is run, and your records are looked over. I would not post it, but send to you directly.

Wes
Since I believe in second chances and am more lenient on my criteria, I tend to see more drivers from other states being sent across to me. 2. Once Approved from Operations it goes to Safety. Safety pulls your dac, your record with Swift when you were there for accidents, citations, log violations, negative road reports and they will say yes or no. I do not fnid out the reason if they say no, but if you have been gone less then one year and you had multiple accidents, citations, log violations, then safety will probably deny your rehire.
