Swift Wal-mart dedicated (Syracues NY term..)

Kindle if you don't mind me asking what are you hauling Charlotte local? How often home? Decent paychecks? I just finished with mentor, will get my own truck 2/9. Will do OTR till I can get on a local. Figure I have to get the experience. Prefer local with two girls at home and wife working too

 

Containers out of the new Norfolk Southern rail yard off West blvd/I-485. Home every night. The pay is $40 per container + .34/mile (at my level of experience). I was usually making between $900-$1000 a week before taxes. Sometimes less when freight is slow like now. Like this week my check is only $825. Though a 6 hour loading time at the evil Stanley tools DC pretty much screwed my check also. I haven't been working many weekends, only if asked to really so I could make more. I'm single, own my house so I'm just fine with taking weekends off. The drop yard is off Sugar Creek/I-85 so you would have a bit of a drive. You can take the truck home if there's room to park it though.

 

I'm in Rock Hill so that would be a nice gig. May need to get my TWIC card afterall.
