TA just raised shower prices really?

TA has been making several changes. They went from 50 gal minimum to 60 gal a couple years ago. Their rationale was that their shower prices had gone up. We all know this is nonsense. Around the same time they started putting reserved parking everywhere. Some of their truck stops can have as much as 50% reserved parking. I suppose they’re trying to survive. Love’s and Pilot/FJ have the most customers.

This year they made some changes to their rewards program, for good or bad. Initially I thought it was a bad deal, especially when the shower expiration went from 14 days to 10-7 days. Now, I think their program isn’t as bad, at least for those who can fuel 1,500+ gal per month.

    Gotcha,
I have the advantage of fueling wherever I want including Ryder if necessary in a pinch but then I get to choose where I stop for my layover

TA is screwing themselves with this 24 hour deal .
I bought 60 gals this morning at Dallas pike and didnt shower and I will need fuel tmw morning before the 24 hours is up and will buy about 150 gals from one of their competitors..
    Good thinking TA !

Ummm. TA would ask why did you only get 60 gallons? They're glad you're going to be trashing someone else's showers if you're only going to tweak them here and there. They're hoping to develop more drivers loyal to the TA/Petro brand, but that's going to be a tough sell given their many other weaknesses when looking at the chain as a national whole.

Actually I have been very loyal to them this past year or so giving them most of my business .
As for that 60 gallons I've got weight and fuel taxes to consider ...until this 24 hour thing all my Pennsylvania , New York and New Jersey fuel came from them .
I can buy my fuel wherever I want and have a business to run ...if TA petro wants to make it hard for me to do business with them I can take my biz elsewhere .
I've got better things to do than play they're games .

I avoid TA Petro at all costs. It’s like they just don’t care all theire locations are run down and haven’t been updated since built.

We all trash their showers every time we use them. This the reason they must keep somebody on the payroll 24/7 to keep them clean between uses, and spend the money to keep the supplies renewed (such as they are).
