I've dealt with their pay parking for years, and luckily my job keeps me out of truck stops for the most part, but I try to preplan and my trip this weekend has me going through NJ going south. I knew Bordentown was there and so I figured, it's always full so might as well plan ahead and buy a spot. They changed their app so you can't see how many spots are left or if they're close to selling out so I was flying blind. I wasn't paying attention. IT'S ALMOST $30 FOR A PAID SPOT NOW! What the #### is going on with these people? Not only that but it's pay to escape too. And they're even saving money by having automated gates instead of a gate attendent so you have to get your #### validated to even leave. I'm on the fence about just ramming through instead of validating my parking I'm so pissed!

I've been to that TA/ Petro in Bordentown many times... Usually you could find a spot if you drove all the way to the back..paid parking.. Never experienced the automated gate though.. Usually I would dead head to PA if I was empty so that was a solution to the chaos that is the northeast..I always made sure my dispatcher had me a pre-plan coming out of NJ..it's not a place to take a vacation that's for sure...

They’re structured towards loyal customers. Loyalty gets you all the reserved parking, showers and coffee for…free!

Was at the Petro in New Paris, OH a few days ago and it was virtually empty. I went right into a free reserved spot. Got my free coffee before I left and had them validate my ticket. My reserved spot filled the requirement of needing to spend $26.00? even though I used an ultra credit for it. Rolled up to the gate, it read my tag and I was gone.

So for people like me TA/Petro really take care of us that buy a couple thousand gallons of fuel there every month.

TA Brooklyn, IA charges like $26.75 for reserved but again, I don’t pay one dime.

Sure glad I don’t have to fight over a spot say at Love’s.

In case anyone doubts it. Wasn't it last year everywhere had gone up to $18? ####### design taking away the "available spots" feature.

I started stopping there way back when it was new and called Bordentown Junction. It was great then and even when it became a Petro it was ok but time has caused so many TA/Petro to turn a blind eye to the truck drivers today in favor of 4 wheeler tourists.

They (and anywhere else that charges for parking) will continue to do so as long as drivers are willing to pay what is being asked. Basic business theory.

They will pay as long as there is not enough parking available. The cost building enough parking and cleaning up after the slobs that continue to trash the lots is staggering and won't get better unless we as an group try and clean up our own image. Also by not spending money inside the restaurants or stores causes the owners to charge for parking to help offset overall costs. I do remember way back when I started my career you would fuel, park, shower, eat and sleep without any issues and we knew how to use the trash cans.
