Tag Trailer w/ air brakes

    i’m looking to purchase a tag trailer with air brakes. I’m hoping to pick it up prior to my dump truck being out of the shop. Is there anyway I can pull the trailer home with my 1ton pickup that doesn’t have air brakes or an air system of any sort? What if I have a small air compressor I could bring along? Any options?

    You can get electric over air supposedly I don't where but some of the trailer manufacturers do that to deliver new trailers.

    It's probably too late for you but for anyone else that's looking how to pull an air brake trailer with a truck with hydraulic brakes...

    There are hydraulic over air modulation valves now.

    You need an air compressor and you have to hook into the line where they tell you at the master cylinder or wherever and the valve will modulate the trailer brakes based on the hydraulic pressure.

    We were going to do that a while back for our small dump truck but we moved into a different direction.
