If her feet are long enough with the seat positioned to reach the accelerator her left foot should be able to sit square on the floor.

Do your pole trailers in the PNW have any sort of suspension? Even up into the 90s most of the ones on Canada's west coast were just solid walking beam. I've only ever actually seen 1 with air and none with spring.

In my t800 the only place to stretch my left leg out is over the clutch. I’ll often rest the back of my ankle on the top edge of the clutch. Almost never have it cancel the cruise control. I’m actually pulling “up” on the clutch pedal. Kenworths use a firewall mounted clutch vs the Pete’s goofy floor mounted clutch. Maybe that’s the difference

With over 600k on the original clutch, I’ll turn my CDL in for obviously abusing the company equipment.

That's a large assumption and I'd fire a guy for not knowing how to double clutch.

I've only driven 1 logger with air, it sucked off road. Not many spring ride. Most of the HH & off road I drove were Canadian built.

You actually said "If you can't float gears, you don't belong in a truck". You made it other people's business.

While most feel this way, I've only ever seen a few drivers that are smooth. I find most to be lazy, company drivers, or not talented enough to double clutch properly. Yet most have zero understanding of a heavy duty manual transmission and why you shouldn't float gears. It's not about being a better driver. Most drivers have zero idea the mechanical workings of equipment they own and operate.

Your right. You do you and I'll do me. Drive your equipment how you like. But if I'm teaching anyone. They will learn the proper way, and can do as they wish when they buy thier own truck.
