Talk about cheap!

Morning Everyone!
I need to vent a little. I think you all will love this one. I have delivered to a store in Sauk Village for almost a year. They were recently bought
by a man and his two evil sons that own two other run down, crappy stores. They treat all drivers like dirt! I was blessed enough to have all three of there stores this Friday. First one went well,evil son one wasn't around. At the second store (where evil son one showed up and closed a door in my face) because they ran out of cash to pay my invoice and I had to wait "a minute" because father and sons were in a meeting. After 10 minutes, I went back and told the girl in the office. She called him up front on the PA. He came and got my bills (big inconvience for him) and made me wait another 15 minutes while he cut a check. Now, the best part.
I barely get to the next store before recieving closes.
The guy there who has unloaded me now for almost a year, come out and tells me the new owners won't allow him to unload any trucks other then Centrella
or Certified. Everyone else MUST hand unload. It seems the cost of propane for the forklift is to expensive to waste. I had 38 cases of frozen chicken and I was not happy. I asked him to go ask the manager. This knucklehead comes out screaming at me Hey! you want to pay for the ******* propane. It's $35.00 a tank. I'm sick of all you guys thinking we ahave to unload you! I told him (no, actually first time in my career I yelled back at a "customer"
because I couldn't believe how stupid it seemed)
that when my orders are smaller I always hand unload. He yells well then ******* hand unload it!
He kept yelling until I jumped down from the trailer, then he took the reciever and went inside. I guess I could have offered him .75 cents to pay for the propane he would use for driving the fork lift all of six feet!
I guess I'm getting tired of drivers being treated like crap when all we are doing is delivering THERE
products!

I called my boss and naturally he said I had to. I did tell the receiver to tell his manager to call in and complain about me so I never have to come back to this ******* place again. I am disappointed I got down to his level with the yelling, but I am so sick of these stores and the management owners. I think that in conjunction with the fact I wasn't feeling well and I just lost two friends recently. One to a motorcycle accident ,was 47 years old and another from the VFW passed away suddenly Sunday night. He was only 51. I think these things took there toll and I just lost it. I always try to be professional with customers.

I agree with you 100%. I have seen this a lot lately. I also don't think it is professional to be talking on the cell phone while a receiver is trying to check you in. I had a friend that made fun of me because I had to wear a uniform. We were taking a lot of their business away from them most of it do to the drivers appearance, attitude and unwillingness to go the extra mile (which sucks some time) Now they just had a four hour meeting about professionalism and guess who is getting brand new uniforms to wear. LOL.
