Noticed they were looking for a road driver and my wife and I have talked about moving out that way. Anyone work out of that yard, or know anything about it? I’m curious to know what the pay would be... if it’s the same as out west. Thanks

IF anything like my local terminal. It's a GREAT paying job. .54 a mile to start and $22.30 h/r

YOU WILL DO DOCK WORK unless your night is over 430 miles or something like but, You will be home everyday and make amazing money. Drivers here clear 100k

At our terminal there is minimal overtime so $100k is not realistic especially without seniority.
Im not sure about Tampa but generally FedEx is a stickler on overtime. Tampa is not a hub terminal either.
You would most likely be assigned overnight (senior drivers take the day and long haul destinations) so plan on more dock forklift work than driving

Bottom man on totem pole. Put in 30 years you get the plum day runs that hardly do any work at all.

I remember a few jobs like that around big trucks now and then, the hardest thing to do literally is to stay awake.

Now I am working on a article where a NYC trash truck hauler managed to clear a 285K pension in retirement. I saw awesome. But I also say I have been laboring in the wrong area for many years LOL. It's all good.

Try UPS; I think teams there are paid $.7042 cpm each; not split. That's for all miles the truck runs. UPS hires off the street for those jobs.
Old Dominion is even better, I think $.74 or .75 cpm for each driver; not split.

Thanks. I’m already employed with OD out west, but the only way to transfer I’d have to go back to the city which I have ZERO desire to do. Twice the work for half the money.

Very difficult to hire in as a driver, I’ve looked at this myself.

Ups parcel makes much more than 70 cpm running teams.
