The Coloma, MI, rest area off I-94 was evacuated Tuesday afternoon (11/27/07) while hazardous materials workers cleaned up corrosive liquid that leaked from a tanker. Only about 15 gallons leaked onto the parking lot before barrels were placed under the trailer. Another truck was brought in to transfer the load, the rest area was reopened about 11:30 p.m. The driver and company could be fined.
