Had lots of that going on here in Md. Friday. Two semis flipped over on the I-95 bridge over the Susquehanna River, railroad bridge right below it,bunch of train cars were blown into the river, too. Further up the river,a truck got flipped over on the Norman Wood Bridge,in Pa. That's the route all the trucks take to avoid the Md. scales. Weren't many vehicles going North or South here for quite a while.

    Dan.S and BigBob410 Thank this.

I am some what surprised it was only two trucks with how strong the winds were.

It was restricted, the 2 that flipped weren't supposed to be there. Every bridge around had some kind of restriction going then.

What are you supposed to do if you just started onto the bridge and the wind comes up super fast?

    Dan.S and Lepton1 Thank this.

They were predicting these winds for days here, there was no surprise. The trucks this happened to decided to ignore the warnings. The restrictions were on in the AM. Those two that flipped happened at noon. My power here is still out,on the generator since Friday AM.

Well you know what we blame it on, the electronic logs that some say forces them to not stop and companies pushing drivers to do more with less. Someday the safety ruling regulators should go out and try that job they making the rules for so they can have a idea of what they are doing. Then parking is another problem, do they have safe and close parking for all those shut down waiting?

    tucker Thanks this.

Yeah but that seat has a skid mark where I want to lay my head while dog paddling to shore.
