    bridge will be closed this saturday 9am-10am, im guessing its to demolish whats left of old bridge. and yes i think its spelled tappan for the spelling police lol

    The old bridge was a wartime emergency construct. The Steel span etc is set on wood on the bed of the river itself. It has outlived its life span so down it goes.

    They blew the remains this morning. Some what sorry to see the thing go.

    Whoever thought about the name for the replacment was a dummy. I'll always call it the Zee. I don't even know who Cuomo is. LOL.
