Hey @Dye Guardian , I know you never really tarped much, but what did you carry for keeping those tarps in place?

I feel like the odd man out. I carry 2 steel tarps and about 50 bungee cords total. I have thought about buying a coil tarp, but then remembered I hate coils so I don't haul them unless absolutely necessary.

There is enough very good paying freight that requires more than 4 ft tarps. I carry 8 fters for that reason. They might only come out of the box a few times a year but its nice having the option.

Never really tarped much? If you say so. I carried a couple boxes worth of tarp straps.

That's funny! I guess you book it before I see it? I can tarp 8' with my 4 4' tarps but I have only found one load I did that on and it was because I was already there. Not because it "paid enough" !

You can have all you want of them #### 8' tarps!!! Lol

Try carrying four 8.5' drops on a B-train (two trailers) and nothing else. Oh wait, I did that for a few years. It was a good start but #### it's nice to not have to do that anymore.

Jet engines are the first that pop in my mind. Big machinery is another, something like a cnc machine or printing press.

I don't like getting the big tarps out anymore thank you, but i like money and when they talk big money i get the tarps out.

If you keep them rolled and tucked away, you may not think a lot about them. That could lead to problems. The materials start to break down, dry rot if you will.
Might be a good idea to take them out and wash them to keep the mold and mildew out of the fabric. Dawn dish soap works good for this. Then wipe them with a good vinyl conditioner. This is a good one. https://www.goldeagle.com/product/303-aerospace-protectant/
