He's right, but much depends on the area you live in for local jobs.

Keep in mind , even local is usually long days, or nights. Still a 12 or 14 hour clock. Not usually like doing 8 and out the gate. May be hard juggling day care, or keeping a "set" seclude.

 

Turn around in, just to do it ovrt again! Im a poet.

 

All that has been said is true. Some folks believe that going local will give you the "banker hours" while making decent $$$. I'd suggest looking into LTL carriers, most pay decent and are M-F if you run a peddle route and you'll have access to benefits etc.
