Pete is tagged and also is color coded, but best you not have to worry about it, i know KW's have wiring issues, not only that but they are a pain to work on compared to a 379.

I'm with you on the KDubbya thing 550....I've been running a buddy of mines 007 limited a few days a week for a few months now.First off,the clutch pedal is in it wrong:biggrin_25525:.I do not like the way it rides,it seems like I'm sitting 10 foot off the ground and it also seems like you need 40 acres to turn it around although its only 265".....I've just always been a Pete fan and its hard for me to really like anything else I guess.Course,I'd b!tch if you hung me with a new rope,so maybe its just me.lol

    B! tch about it?
    HANG ON!
    As well you SHOULD.
A Big truck trucker of your stature deserves no less than a new rope.
Save the used ropes for the newBees. :yes2557: :biggrin_25525:

Most of my experience was in a Schneider Cab-Over and W-900, T-600, FLD, and Classic -- company trucks and their present and former show Big trucks (W-900's). The Classic was an O/O Customer Order, all the bells and whistles. But the customer died, and one of our O/O's bought it from the dealer for a deal.

I drove it for him for several weeks when the odometer read less than 20,000 miles on a 500 Detroit and 19-speed. Warranty until broken in limited the road speed around 85 - 90 MPH, as I recall. I have no problem with that.

Ran team with the owner for a week or two.
He and his wife had to pry me out of it. But she ran team with hubby and I'd just get in the way.
    Go figure.

Of the limited experience I have driving a Pete, once I got past the initial FEEL GOOD just drivin' a flashy Pete, I noticed how it felt strollin' on the highway. NicE!
    Kinda personal and homey.
Once I got the hang of how to point the hood, it was like driving an arrow.
I like the dash better than what I had in the W-900's and T-600 -- I sure didn't like KW's placement of the turbo-boost gauge in the T-600.

I fear I could become accustomed to driving a Pete -- maybe TOO accustomed. Too easy. :yes2557:

Pete and KW are brothers from the same company. Its all in what you get used to.

I like my KWs and probably always will.

The owner of the truckin' company I drove for told the O/O's that their Big trucks could be ANY color they wanted --- as long as it was white.

Even chipped in $2,000 to get them repainted if they weren't.

    I like white. :yes2557::biggrin_25525:
