Tennessee may be lowering height for route survey

The computers in the Motor Carrier Dept have been screwed up for a long time. They are in the process of moving everything over to another system. I hope, once they get the bugs worked out, that this new system will actually work.

As far as the route surveys, TN has been a little jumpy with anything over 15' for awhile now. TN has a lot of low bridges (15' or less), some of which aren't marked. The bridge the idiot hit was marked 14', so he could have been at 14' 6" and still hit the bridge.

 

Are the dummies making more dummies in this great country!!?? Never even dreamed this leaving children in overheated vehicles would be a problem. Sad situation.

 

Life is what..actually forgetting your child in your car??!! Or one of your children forgetting a grandchild? That is beyond my comprehension. I am definitely not a genius.. .but that to me is just plain "stupid". I have thought about this as I drive sometimes . Can't wrap my head around it. Its sooo dumb.

 

They say you're sposed to put something important in the backseat so you don't forget your kid..................


Something important... like YOUR KID.

 

I remember as a kid my mother would leave me in the car with the window cracked. Local PD would drive by and just wave. We rode our bikes without helmets, never got ice cream for losing the game, only league champions got trophies.
Mother would also whoop me with a wooden baking spoon when I would act up or smart off. She had an endless supply, one never lasted more than a week. Somehow I turned out alright

Oh how times have changed, used to be you could get away with trying to smack the stupid out of people, not anymore.

 

Nah, cell phone..... But hence she wouldn't be able to text and drive

 

Saw this honey with the phone on her leg, the new way of texting. Didn't get a good pic. She was parked in the left lane doing 67.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this.
Seriously why is it women can't drive without a cell phone in their hand?

Ya, I know the joke most women can't drive to begin with.
