    Have any of you ever built a stand to test engines on after an out of frame, and if so what did you make it out of?

    1/4 I beam check out some salvage parts websites and look at the used engines to get some ideas of how you wanna make yours just overbuild it

    Engine crates work fairly well with some modification.

    there is small motor company in Lugansk, They use frame from old English cabover (ERF as I know), they put engine it w/o tranny and cooling it with water from barrel.

    some old frame rails from a truck. welded together works well.

    yep, good idea. They use frame with wheels to move engine in workshop

    A shipping skid works. They are made of square mild steel tubing.
