My company runs DOT and not Texas time...They told me why but I don't really remember...something about being multi-state and having some trucks cross state lines or something.

I dont want to muddy up this thread with crap, but answer me this:
Are you guys in the oil fields (hauling water) still getting the crazy overtime hours? -
Im speaking of the Off Duty At Well Site line that we were using last winter for a while. Have not used those logs for a while so cannot tell you for sure if it was actually a fifth line.
-
Our 5th line is off duty well site and we are not allowed to use it because we haul crude. The interpretation I have been told from safety is if you stay at a well to service it or move a rig then you can use it, but a crude hauler doesn't fit that profile. If I wait at a well behind a truck then I can go to off duty line and take a break. If I am loading then I have to be on duty not driving.

OFW here. Hubby is currently driving vac and end dump for JM. He's asked me to find out if the drivers are happy with three different companies while he asks around at disposals. I'm looking for information on Steve Kent, Macro, and Maverick. What are your experiences, what are your hours like, how much home time, paid by hour or %, etc.. It's best to ask the drivers.
Thanks in advance.
