Tonight ~1-3am I was driving on 95 South from MA to Connecticut. I was sleepy, it was foggy and drizzling, I had an iced coffee in one hand, singing karaoke, going at least 80 miles an hour. There were a lot of trucks on the road but there was one who I thought kept high beaming me. I couldn’t figure out why. I thought maybe that cut him off. I ignored him for the most part, continuing to drive carelessly. And then I lost control of my car for a minute. And then he was there in front of me, slowing me down to 65 mph. I followed him at that speed for two hours on 95 south. When I turned onto the Merritt Parkway and we parted ways I felt like crying and I did cry, grateful to him for keeping me and others a little bit safer. Thank you

Glad you made it home safely. Drive a little slower. 80 won’t really get you there much faster than 65 and you might get one more verse of poker face in.

You were driving a truck at 80 mph on a foggy, rainy night single-handed? Keep it up; someday your 'angel' ain't gonna be there when you're driving like an idiot .....

Sorry, my bad. I guess he/she was only driving like slightly less of an idiot, after all....

Remember, drivers; we share the roads with these people, like it or not. While we can hope that most driver operate their rigs in a responsible manner, there are plenty of 4-wheelers like this one who "rely on the kindness of strangers" rather than paying attention to conditions.
