I tried responding to you much earlier, however I was unable to by hitting "Reply". I was confused untill I clicked on "New Thread" :biggrin_25525: . I filled out the USF app. Monday. They didn't seem too anxious to talk with me however. I don't need the job untill September, I have plenty of time to nag them:yes2557: . Say BumpintheRoad, if they hire me on for linehaul, will I work on the dock? No problem there. Would I be put up in motel rooms, or just run somewhere, drop, hook and come right back? Do you drive the same tractor nightly? I do on my linehaul. Your trucks are governed around 65 mph, right? It's a joy to share the road w/you guys because your not out there blowing me out of the water. Holland stresses safety don't they? You have safety meetings, right? My dispatcher is a wildman. After my 525 mile linhaul I hand my paperwork in and he tells me to "hammer down". Yeah whatever. I'll I have to do is the limit. Thanks for the comeback, and sorry about the delay on mine!:biggrin_25519:

If they do HIRE you for LINEHAUL..you will at times have to load or unload a pallet here and there, depending on that terminal that you go to and what time of the night/early morning it is. BUT this doesn't happen all the time either.
OPEN ROAD for newbies, which would mean motel rooms....staying out all week.
    Trucks are governed at 65mph.
YOU have assigned trucks that you drive. City will use them during the day time hours.
LOT'S of SAFETY meetings and movies.
