Oh like when you show up at the customer when it says they will be open on the weekends and it ends up being a ghost town. You call the number on the main page and it is out of service or sometimes even brings up the dialtone from a fax machine at which point maybe you can make morse code beeping sounds to get the message across. Then you dig in the info and find another phone number that goes to some womans personal cell phone number that goes straight to voicemail for some lady named Betty with her dogs yapping in the background.

And then you give up and call SNI, talk with ICA/DBL who talk with CS who then get back to you asking you if you have another phone number to contact them at, ask you if you tried the number on the info page, ask you if there is a number on the guard shack, and ask you to go inside (the locked gate) with teleportation powers and go talk to the lady at the office and see if she can give you a number?

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I had mentioned to an OSR before that it appeared my qualcomm allowed split logs because logging sleeper berth paused the 14 hr clock. He made the comment along the lines that "only IC's are allowed to split logs" and "maybe your qualcom is set up for an IC improperly". Well, the last two company tractors I've had allow split logging because I'll wake up in the morning after 8 hours in the SB and there still is the same 2 1/2 hours on my 14 hr clock when I went to bed. So yeah, the Qualcomm does allow it, even for company drivers apparently lol

Yeah, like on Monday I was sent to pick up a load. Delivery hours were 8am-3pm at the receiver apparently. So, after 4 hours I'm finally loaded and there's no way I'll get there by 3pm. Plus, on the bills it states "must deliver before 1pm" and "must call Joe Blow 1hr before arrival to confirm" and gives his phone number.

So I call operations (normal hours) and tell them that it can't deliver after 1pm. I'm told "just go there and try to deliver at 4:30pm".

LOL, yeah right, so I call the guy and he says there's no one at the warehouse and an appointment has to be made so I can make sure someone is at the warehouse to unload. So I ask if he really needs this stuff immediately. He could have cared less when it came as long as it showed up sometime in the next couple weeks. So I flat out tell him, "I'm taking this to our yard in Gary, I'm going to drop it there, customer service will contact you to make an appointment later this week or next week". "Great, thanks" he say. I then call operations and TELL them, the exact same thing, this is what I'm doing, the end. And they state "OK, we're relaying it at Gary".

So yeah, sometimes it's best to just tell them what you are going to do, period LOL

Time to watch Gran Tornio... Clint Eastwood's general pissed off and grumpy attitude pretty much sums up mine right now...

Split logging is rough and sni frowns on it even if your ic or company. But its 8 & 2. And yes Elogs can handle it if done properly. It's not Elogs that screwed you but fueling that screwed you. I personally would have went to customer first then went over to truck stop for fuel n INSP.

Don't be concerned abt regulatory. All they can do is complain.

telling someone to falsify logs on a public forum not a smart move.

Sounded like he fueled off duty to me.

I go to work to make money. Not to make people happy.

When I get screwed, I push back.

But I understand the OP has self-identified. I should have sent it in a pm.

That is interesting, I am not aware any single can stop that 14 hour clock. Is their a special exemption?
