That 5th wheel thingy looks like it would cut you wide open if you hit it while working on the truck...

    Safety first ....

Awesome, thanks a ton. I'll check that when I get the truck back from it's PM on Monday.

I'm surprised SNI didn't try to sell it to me by telling me it would improve my MPG by .002% by making my 5th wheel more aerodynamic

Has anyone ever tried routing their APU exhaust through the main exhaust of the truck? I saw this adapter here:

    http://www.discountfleetsupply.com/grkapu-2-0.html

And was thinking about getting that and installing it under one of my muffler stacks. I doubt it would do anything for sound, but it would get that stinky *** exhaust from the little Yanmar with like 8000 hours on it up and away from the poor truck parked next to me... I guess the issue becomes plumbing it in, I'd probably just need a really long piece of small flex exhaust. Plus I wouldn't want it to look (too) rednecked together.

On second thought, maybe I could just drill a hole in the bottom of the elbow that is already there and weld in an elbow like that pre-made adapter has.

Remember this discussion from a decade ago that there's not force to make out the top of the stack. So the shop didn't do it.

No it was a old school apu. Our trucks didn't have bunk heaters.

Maybe I should just make a mini stack by itself for the APU

I wouldn't think it would need much force and besides the hot exhaust rises anyway. SNI didn't and still doesn't have apu either Moosc.

I wasn't with Schneider 10 years ago. And maybe not apu but I have parksmart on my company truck.
