go back to 7. i have absolutely nothing nice to say about 8. i've been running it 4 weeks now. i can't even watch a smooth netflix. the video stream sucks. the way this thing is designed is pure idiotic. that's my $1 worth.

google is aware of the situation but offers no solution.

Ya. I am not using 8 yet. It was a driver's computer. We are getting a largely increasing number of new users that have Win 8 as Win 7 disappears from the market.

I found an amazing GPS Company that works wonders for my trucks. All the information is at www.myeyeinthesky.com The GPS works and does just about anything for a very cheap price

I agree. That's why I bought my car GPS TomTom and am currently considering the TomTom PRO 7150 truck GPS. I've been very very impressed with the car TomTom and have used it for truck routing... keeping a close eye on restricted roads and heights. I've even downloaded a POI for low overpasses that contains approximately 2500 low overpasses in the US. Then I scan my route prior to departure to see if there are any low overpasses along the route. I've stayed out of trouble so far and have successfully avoided several low overpasses this way.

Anyway, like already stated, the PRO TT has a way to report things as you go along a route. Then you can download these updates from other truckers when you connect the GPS to your computer. This seems like a winning GPS to me.

I have a TND520 now i had a PCmiler Navigator 520 and there is some things i REALLY miss about the PCMiller one is the ability to lay in a bunch of stops then view them (yes you can do that one the TND520) but what you can't do is (at least i haven't figured it out yet) is to zoom in on the roads between the stops. I've only ever been able to zoom in on the roads from where i am to the first stop

the other down side to the TND520 is while in Canada it has the travel times all messed up it has a travel time of 3 hours from Sarnia, Ont to Kitchener, ON via 402 and 401 when it is really only 2 hours and 15 min at the speed limit of 100 k

The TND520 also shows 4 hours from the Ambassador bridge (Windsor, ON) to Kitchener, ON when its only 3 hours

when i place a way point it sees it as a stop when in reality i just want to force it to go a certain route (because some place i go II must approach a customer in a certain direction

But even with these minor foo-paws its not a bad GPS

if i had to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it and 8

thank you for you time in reading this

I will look into that routing issue of times.

I understand about the waypoint, but the TND as most GPS have to handle it as a Via.

    Thanks,
    Mark

i understand about way points and via's that's no problem at all. i just need to be able to zoom in on the entire route, when planning my routes thanks again for looking into this.

i remembered something that needs to be looked as well, when traveling from Toledo OH to Fort Wayne IN US route 24 is now ALL 4 lanes all the way across it been this way for a couple three years now, and mine after doing latest update still shows me in the middle of a field. LOL (I know i'm on a road but Samantha gets really confused and we all know how dangerous it to confuse a women) Thanks again
