Back in 88' they used fiberglass ramps at a sever angle and those were very slick and hard to go up and down. Many people got hurt on those ramps.
These Aluminum ones are better. What you do is throw table salt on the ramp and that makes it all better.

Our theory is that freight doesn't move fast enough cause of the driver shortage, so customers find a new carrier. This causes a temporary spike in sales until they can't handle the volume anymore either, so it goes to another carrier who will also have the same issues.
Possible solution? Maybe pay your guys a bit more to retain them... Maybe entice new drivers? Nope... That's blasphemy -

Here is the back I must say the slider trailer has been done rather well.
Better then this design which I think is not being ordered any more. I never liked this scheme and I hope it's done for good:
