A bunch of whining and unsubstantiated claims. That was a painful 7:29 of my time.

It’s funny that the one thing playing the biggest part in hoods going away wasn’t even mentioned by this YouTube expert.

VIDEO: Jake braking trucker has tips on how to avoid using the runaway ramp on Fancy Gap
L O N G HOOD rolling down from Fancy Gap, VA.
I was digging the sounds when I drove such Long Hoods.

Last time I rolled that road there was NO ESCAPE RAMP.
Too many sissies can't handle a meager 7 mile hill.

I've gone down the hill in Neutral, briefly, but I was EMPTY 53' and little Traffic, and got 'er back in 10th or 13th, no big deal.

There were no escape ramps rolling south to Virginia after the last Cash Box on I-77 in The Hillbilly.

Lot of valves got swallowed by drivers using the Georgia overdrive that had no idea what they were doing, bought a parts engine that was the result of a “well I’ll just shove the clutch in” scenario lol….
