    I have always said the big companies, and basically any company, doesn't care about you. I told a gung ho company man, who was a line haul driver, that same thing.

    He got all offended and tried to defend the company. I told him that if he was hooked up, and had a heart attack sitting in the drivers seat and died before leaving the yard, they would take him out the passenger door because someone else would be climbing in the drivers door at the same time so the freight wouldn't be late.

    Decided to do something this week - a mast from Texas to Florida.

    Reloads were lack luster out of Florida, but got to experience GE in Pensacola, a 10’ wide cart to Novi, MI.

    Emptied today - Friday, left last Sunday, so 6 and a half days start to finish, home to home.

    Dentist’s appointment on Monday, otherwise I may have pursued a reload.

    $10,634 TTT
    3721 All miles.
    $2.85 /TTT/all miles.

    Roughly 55% loaded miles.

    It’ll pay the bills. It’s too darned hot, the lawns need mowed and there’s a pool at home.

    I just ran the numbers on round tripping the first Florida load, and came out with the same RPM TTT - and would have been home Thursday night.

    The second load was cheaper than I thought it should be - contract GE rate, diluted things a bit.
