If it was centered on the trailer, 5 chains should have been more than enough.
I wish i knew the whole store, and how he had it chained.
I have hauled fuel tanks to the bush up some terrible roads, so the loggers and miners had fuel tanks. They never move at all.
Big tanks, I throw on 5 chains and go. So now am incredibly curious.

    saw this one yesterday.

    It was a Western Express.

One chain and binder per side of each machine.

I wouldn’t do it that way but it’s legal if the machines are under 10k.

Actually that’s a lie. I would do it that way. Works just fine.

Couldnt u just run chain from one side to other and put binder on each corner. 4 anchor points 2 chains. Or is that to much work. I never hauled skid steers but id imagine they have dedicated securement points

Problem is if 1 securement point fails all securement fails.

I've hauled a lot of skidsteers.
4 chains on the actual machine itself, and 1 over the bucket, for a total of 5. Maybe overly cautious for some, but never lost a load in 34 years so it works for me.

    Oxbow and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
