The bailer in the middle, the chain around the axle was loose. The strap holding the tongue down was the only thing tight. Brand new chains, snap binders and straps.

And by how bent forward the make-shift header is, probably not the 1st time for under-securement....and the tarp fold job looks like my grand kids beds when you ask them to make their bed before school.

Follow the Carny to the party. At least that’s how it used to work. Knew some guys at Conklin Shows back in the day. There was certainly no shortage of wildlife on those crews.

No it wasn't. It was on an O/O truck. I didn't catch how fresh the numbers were. But the hood was broken off its hinges, and held down with bungees. So there's that.

I just don’t know how people feel comfortable with those kind of tie down jobs. I will admit I don’t always do things quite legal. Sometimes just 4 corners on machines that really need at least 6 chains but that’s usually for a trip down the dirt road to the next job never otr like that picture appears to be

Guys like that need to stay away from hauling equipment. Thats gonna get somebody killed. It takes 5 minutes to chain that properly and 3 of those minutes are spent opening the binders and dragging chains to the trailer.

There’s a local trucking company that now owns a very high dollar skidsteer and a large mini excavator because of tie down jobs like deere runner showed just there a little rough from when they piled up against the neck on the rgn. At this point there pretty much dump and hopper trucks only. The occasional desperate local or an out of town contractor are about the only equipment they move
