The guy on the tractor was clearly texting and driving.

Wow….!!! What a shame, that was a nice Massey Harris!

I recently drug in a 81 year old Case VC, hope to make it look nice in the future….

Lol, I’d hate to rely on the brakes very much over 15 mph…. :)

Some of that old iron is spooky... It's like the brake pedal is just a suggestion

Why do I take pleasure in seeing this? It's like such a giant "I told you so."

When I move my equipment, I tie it down because I have to, but more importantly, because I like my equipment and don't want anything to happen to it.

You'd think a guy with such a nice antique would go overboard to protect it. In fact, he probably freaked out if anyone touched it at a show or left hand prints on it.

Indeed, like my 49 DC4 Case, it pulls like a bull but brakes are more of a suggestion as you mentioned lol. And it is hand clutch with a brake pedal on each side….

Brakes? We had a couple of JD that lived most of their ten year life in the rice fields. We didn't know that the brakes didn't work until we were trying to lowbed them to the dealer for trade-ins. I felt kind of dumb asking my tractor drivers how long the brakes had been out and finding out that they quit working soon after initial delivery. They take such good care of everything that it just never clicked with me that they'd run around with no brakes.
The drivers didn't seem to think it was any big deal.

Had a Lamborghini at the vineyard, seem to remember it had 3 brake pedals, one left, one right and a middle one for both. They didn’t work either. It had a great horn.
