Yeah, totally missed that.

Those guys are usually pretty easy going. Except when it snows in Denver and none of the doorslammers think about height. They get a little pissy on those days!

 

That has happened to me before in that very same place. They made me turn around, go back to Silverthorne,and go up Loveland pass. Now, I drive really slow, put a third strap over the center of the first bunk to keep it from “ballooning” and pull over at the chain station in Silverthorne and completely dump all the air out of the trailer suspension until I’m through the tunnel.
ETA: those foam board loads only weigh #7000

 

One pallet has no strap and a rack of 8’ jacks only has one.

 

Still, as long as he has a hard hat, suitably strapped under his chin, he should be ok.
This is a very scary thread for the rest of us though.

 

I bet he got talking or distracted on his tie down.

 

I can't post a pic, because his truck is unique enough it would dox him. But I would never have expected it to be a flatbedder that I saw walking out of the pervert palace (Sapp Denver) with their Pomeranian. That's some old school crazy bed bugger kind of stuff, and most definitely Hall of Shame worthy for a chain slinger!
