I used to drive many years ago,but now that the kids are on their own the wife and I are thinking about going truck driving, she does not want to drive, but she would be a great help with paper work and navigation. Are there companies that allow a family member to ride along that much?Any thoughts and advice would be helpful.

Roehl wants six accident free months and then you'd have to pay a weekly fee to insure her on the truck. I don't think they limit the amount of time she can spend with you, just as long as performance and safety aren't compromised.

Last we knew it was $15/month to have your spouse go out with you, it was back in August when I went with my husband anyway. They did change it to any passenger you have 18 and older has to have a passport so they can cross the Canadian border, on special permission you can have a non-passport holding passenger.
