We arrive 20 minutes early we drop the paper work we were inform that will take 4 hours for 460 pieces less than 19k pounds probably 40 pallets very well stack from proctor Gamble went back and check 4 1/2 hours later and they said not done yet have to wait another 3 1/2 hours and to call dispatch.
By then we already lost our next dispatch.
And that's the way big corporate America put owner operator out business.

Most Target DC s are awful. Expect anywhere from a 4hr to 14 hr live unload. I know a few DC s like Oconomowoc, WI and Galesburg, MI make you leave the property

This is how all targets are , this is a know fact.
They have one person per trailer to unload.
They pull a pallet off and they take a box or two to another location and they grab another and put it on a converbelt that goes to wherever they need that piece to go.
Then the rest of the pallet goes somewhere else.
Often there is a couple bins right there by the door that they sort pieces into before they move the pallet to wherever.
It's not uncommon for a live unload at target to be 14rs or longer.
    No you know, lol

If you are a true OO you refuse loads to target. Problem solved.

So your company will punish you for refusing, you need a better company.

If your working under forced dispatch then you are not a OO.

Now that Amazon is buying Target it can only get better.

If you are not writing contracts (rate sheet, carrie packet, etc) that is not in your comapnies best instrest why are you pulling the load?

    Get detention specified people!

And get enough to actually cover the downtime, not some piddly $25 / hr. When you work an average day how much do you make? Well divide that by your average hours works and accept no less than that for detention.

The customers who are willing to pay it will not be holding you up. The customers who will not pay it, well, there is a reason for that.

I used to unload Procter and Gamble loads at Target in Woodland back in the early 2000s,sometimes loads would take from 5 in the morning till midnight and a few I had to come back the next morning, back then they had to scan and lable every box, some loads had over 80 different items. The last I heard when they kicked out all the lumpers they where making Pand G loads drops,or pulling pallets off and letting drivers leave.
