    yes I remember my uncle having 2 on his cab over scania in the mid 80’s made from plastic with a bulb inside to illuminate they were really popular many trucks had them on the wing mirrors or sun visors

    Its kind of like the swans that the old timers started putting on their radiator caps back in the 1950’s for a symbol of good luck and beauty. The tradition still carrys on today. That is why Peterbilt adopted the swan bird wings as the grab/pull handles in 1965 with the first tilt hood 358’s.

    I remember a guy who used to run an old decommissioned Schneider cabover in the 90’s that had one of those. He ran between St.Paul and Chicago and I’d see him every week. I also wondered what it was all about. I remember his handle used to be The Great Pumpkin. Lol.
