Lmao parking lots are private property.
It’s why as teenagers we could get away with doing burnouts in the speed shop (read napa/machine shop) parking lot.

it’s why off-road parks have people drinking while sitting in their cars.
Hell some even have a beer while driving the mud trucks.

that said it’s over now so it doesn’t really matter. You don’t REALLY want to poke the bear anyway.
If you do just go take a shower and let him do his inspection by himself.

 

Sorry, I can not answer DOT specific questions (I was a city officer). I was just trying to jump in and clarify police authority on private property that is open for public access. As I said before, I understand how things are done in NC only. The other officer you may have been trying to think of was probably @TROOPER to TRUCKER . He would be familiar with SC law and could probably answer DOT type questions better than me. I believe he now lives there in your neck of the woods.

You can get a DUI on private property in the state of Arizona. It's the only title 28 (veh. code) regulation that can be enforced on private property.

 

I believe the words you're looking for are "Abuse of Power" and "Corruption". I wonder who might be interested in a harassment case against the local precinct.
