I have a suggestion; you mentioned, in another thread, you don't want to be separated from your lover, so both of you take employment on a cruise ship? Free meals & lodging plus a paycheck.

TAKE IT !!! You'll need about three thousand (3000) miles a week !
My electric bill is about 150 a month. Maybe 200 in a real cold month. That's elec. water trash sewer. Property taxes are low.

My highest electric bill was $400.00 and that's living in the desert with temps running over 100 degrees and many days 114 degrees. That's pretty good, I'd say. Right this minute it's 106 degrees. Doesn't feel that hot because the humidity is so low. Took a 3 mile walk yesterday and only a little perspiration in the armpits; that's all; very comfortable walk.
That was my highest electric bill in years; usually between $150 - $200

I think all of my utilities (water/sewer/garbage, electric, phone, internet) are $160/mo.
You don't get to decide how many miles you drive. Your company and their customers have some amount of freight to be moved and your company gives load assignments to this driver and that driver and the other driver, as they learn about each load of freight. At the end of the week you add the miles you drove and see what those miles are. EVERY COMPANY WILL CLAIM their drivers are getting 2500 miles per week even if half of their drivers are getting 1000 miles per week. Would you ask a car dealership if the cars they sell are reliable or ask the mechanics in town which cars are reliable? Make the company put you in contact with current working drivers at the company working on the same customer account that you want to work for. I know you won't do that you'll just ask the guy that answers the phone if this is a good place to work and if you will get enough miles. You are NOT going to talk the company into more miles for you if they don't have enough freight to keep you busy.

I'm starting to wonder if this is just a different screen name for the last guy that seemed to spent a few years asking off-the wall questions about trucking with his wife/girlfriend from overseas but never ever seemed to even get a CDL. When are you looking to be on the road? How long have you wanted to REALLY be away from home and drive everywhere and sleep in truck stops?

Once you get more acclimated to the climate, it’s not too bad. It’s bad, but not too bad. Been in central and west Texas over 10 years now, first couple summers were a challenge, now when temps don’t get above 98, I’m looking for a long sleeved shirt.
