This is why you keep your head on a swivel when walking near fuel pumps

Well, they stopped the video, but I imagine the guy got dragged for a while. This will be a tough call, but ultimately it will be the truck drivers fault. I mean, perfect timing, even Hollywood couldn't create this with one take, so, was it times up for the guy? While the Dr. Ed. dude seemed to make clear, a driver can't see you, that's true, but it's your responsibility, before you move, making sure nothing is in front of you. Be my last day in a truck that's for sure, regardless of the outcome, and doesn't look good. Maybe if you had 12 truck drivers on the jury, but people hate trucks with all the lawyer hype, amazing how ones life can change in an instant.

It amazes me how many peopke walk in front of me and just keep their head down or play on their phone. Im akways looking up at the driver and I wave so they see some part of me when I walk in front.

I saw the whole video from another source... the man was almost immediately knocked down and then went under. The driver continued to creep forward until out of the fuel island, when he got out he noticed the man under his truck.

You always make sure you can see the driver in the seat and he can see you before walking in front of truck. Especially the truck with big hood

I teach my kids the same way, don’t step out to cross the road until you see the driver seeing you. If you put your safety in someone else’s hands you will be injured and disappointed

Walking across the fuel aisle is obviously dangerous and you need to look at every single driver before walking across their hood. You also need to listen for a truck that just started up. Everyone knows this. I really don't blame the driver alone. He probably feels horrible.

If it was SuperEgo hauling ### across the parking area at 50mph then, yes, throw the book at him. Lock him up.
