Skidsteers are awesome! I bought this one from my uncle's estate several years ago. It's about a 1981 or so GEHL, with about 700 hrs on it. He used it to muck the hog barn, and for snow removal. I have all kinds of fun with it!

 

I'm trying to decide between tracked skid steer or mini excavator.

The longer I wait though the harder they are to justify when I can just use the neighbor's little Kubota with a backhoe.

 

Dang, skid steer, would love to have one.
Might as well get the mini excavator too.
Oh, almost forgot the boom lift. One of those towable ones.

Unless you're using it professionally and can write it off on your taxes, there's no good reason to buy the "professional grade" stuff anymore. Harbor Freight gets a bad rap and yes it's all chinesium, but the quality is far better now than it used to be and the prices can't be beat. I would LOVE to buy American made tools, but when HF is nearly as good at 1/10th the price, I can't justify it.
