Picked up another trailer with a leaking wheel seal. I think this makes 4 spindle I’ve had to have replace on LS trailers. Really has me thinking about going to Richie Bros in Chehalis and buying a spiffy dry van of my own.

You know those auction ones are usually the ones they couldn’t trade or sell.

For real. We don't send our stuff to auction unless it's absolutely not worth a squirt of piss.

It is a rare, very rare, you can get lucky. The few people I know in the box world, tend to look for the 3 year lease return. According to them, that’s the point of best value. Lower prices and still in reasonable condition. Preferably from a smaller company. Don’t know if this is true. Just what have been told.

Shouldn't be too bad, probably not much more than a kidney, maybe part of your liver as well, but I hear that grows back.

Low $50k for a very basic for new one.

Used just make sure the kingpin aint worn out and the cross member and side rails are solid with no cracks or damage you should be fine. Just make sure the brakes are recent and the wheel ends have been serviced.

I got mine at MountTrailer down in PDX was a fleet trade in. I was not impressed with their current online inventory.

An interesting used one down in Troutdale for the easy LS Inspection. Note the E-track spacing and the 12" cross member spacing

This place has 2 locations in WA, Napavine and South west of Tacoma out in the edges of civilization. They buy a bunch of the stuff from Richie Bros and other places then refurb it to road worthy.

Mylittlesalesman.com has 2027 Vanguards for $40-42k. I hear the market value for a kidney is better than $50k.

I was going to ask for a trailer update, or at least where he was on the thought process.

Going to throw some math at it though, revenue should increase by around a thousand a week. A good used trailer with aggressive maintenance and upgrades should most likely pay for itself in the 6 to 9 month window.

Aggressive maintenance would be: redo the brakes including drums, new airbags, New tires, Auto inflate system, Fresh wiring (if appropriate), new lights (just replace them all up front so less issues while running............
