Hi, I'm on my way to an Intrastate licence (for 3 years) because of a vision deficiency in my left eye that's 20/80. Otherwise, my peripheral vision and my right eye are near perfect. What I was wondering if there's anyway to appeal the 3 year Intrastate only mandate to get to an interstate licence quicker.

    Thanks.

I started with a Intrastate vision waiver in Texas, then decided to get the Interstate.
One is controlled by the state, while the other is controlled by FMCSA.2different monsters.

Yeah, I know. I was just hoping there could be some way to appeal the Federal side and get to an interstate licence quicker. :(

    Probably not.

Either get the eyes fixed if it's possible or your stuck.

I once know a driver who had one eye that never moved. I never could figure out how he was able to keep a cdl or medical. But this whole INTRAstate makes sense now.
